École Marie Gibeau is a small school that strives for excellence in the quality of teaching and support for children. Centered on students and on human values, our school aims to be in constant communication with each family to establish a principle of partnership with the community. Always welcoming, École Marie Gibeau wants to accompany children and help them develop the intellectual curiosity, the language skills and the sensitivity that will allow them to contribute to a better and more peaceful world.
The school has a teaching team that works continuously to enrich the lives of children, both pedagogically and culturally, as well as socially and athletically. The additional learning hour allows for daily sporting activities, which contribute to increased commitment, self-esteem and perseverance.
THE ORGANIZATION OF GROUPS
In order to better meet the needs of our students, our school is made up of small groups. A maximum of 20 children per class can be found in our Elementary school. Because your child brings his/her own luggage of knowledge and mode of communication, it is essential for the teacher to discover each child’s learning type in order to present an environment that promotes observation, exploration and questioning in various ways.
A great emotive stability is supported by the fact that they are always the same children, with the same teacher, in the same classroom, at the same hours. This allows the child to feel safe, to adapt to the new surroundings and to feel quickly like he/she belongs in HIS/HER school.
